Parging is the application of a thin coat of mortar or cement to foundation walls, masonry, or chimneys to create a smooth, durable, and protective finish. It enhances water resistance, seals minor cracks, and covers imperfections on concrete surfaces, typically applied in one or more layers, each around 10 mm (3/8) thick.
